Change of guidelines for good scientific practice and principles for suspected scientific misconduct
The applicant may make proposals as to the composition of the doctoral commission in their application.
OPENING AND CONTINUATION OF THE DOCTORAL PROCEDURE
The doctoral commission decides on acceptance for a doctoral position on the basis of the submitted documents, the opening of the procedure and the composition of the commission (§8 doctoral regulations). The commission decides on the definite acceptance or denial of the dissertation on the grounds of the expert reports and possible expert opinions. The expert reports are available to the members of the doctoral commission and the members of the faculty-internal doctoral commission in the Dean’s office for two weeks.
If the dissertation has been accepted, the doctoral committee determines a date for the oral exam (§11 doctoral regulations). Immediately after completion of the oral exam (presentation and defence) the doctoral commission evaluates the oral exam and defence.
PUBLISHING OF THE DISSERTATION
The doctoral student must deliver the mandatory copies (§14 doctoral regulations) for the university library and the faculty library within one year after the oral exam.
After successful delivery of the mandatory copies the student can make an appointment for the delivery of the doctoral certificate in the Dean’s office (§15 doctoral regulations).
