International

Studying two semesters at a foreign university sounds very attractive to many students. Who doesn't want to improve your foreign language skills, gain insight into new research fields and meet students from all over the world? Studying abroad widens your horizon, enables a break from everyday life and is also the icing on the cake for future employers looking for soft skills. Students have the opportunity to participate in the Erasmus European exchange program, where a succession of European partner universities await you.

Erasmus Student Network Bochum e.V.

The Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is an association of local Erasmus initiatives. Our main objective is to assist the integration of foreign students here in Bochum, where students help students overcome intital difficulties. We also want to encourage the mobility of European students by showing what a semester abroad can offer. ESN is available all over Europe, currently at 396 universities in 36 countries.
Therefore, we can consider ourselves to be one of the largest student organizations world-wide. At the RUB we are in close contact with the International Office.

ESN is for you!

  • Students of the RUB (outgoings) who would like to get into contact with the new ESN chapter before leaving for their studies abroad.
  • Students arriving in Bochum (incomings), who we can offer services such as a pick-up service, introduction meetings, country motto parties (Länderpartys), trips, etc.
  • Students of the RUB, who, before or after the semester abroad, would like to volunteer their services or, generally, would like to work and meet people in an international setting.
